Moda Candy Stars

Are you in love with Moda Candy too? Does your mouth water as you peel off the wrapper!? I love these pretty littles. I have been known to grab one or two as I check out of quilt stores, as they are usually at the counter, otherwise known as in the sucker isle, like when you're at the store and see the sweets as you're paying and you grab one as you are about to pay. Kind of like that but better!
2.5 inches of fun!

A LITTLE CAN GO A LONG WAY!

Adding a second border for a snuggle size.

FMQ in swirls, I also added some green to the stars and loops in the border. Kona White, Michael Miller Ta Dot, & MoMO Just Wing It candy charm pack with scrappy points for stars.

Bound in a Malka Dubrasky bright colors.

Challenges

Does your quilt guild give you challenges? Mine does and it inspires me to accomplish a project in full since deadlines loom. Here are a couple of mine, surely no prize winners but none the less, sewing makes me happy.

Low Volume LOVE

Abuelita

A couple of weeks ago I finished my Granny Squares quilt. Kate Spain's Fandango was my first jelly roll. Now I am rolling in rolls.  This was an easy pattern to follow but not always do I sew a perfect .25 inch seam. But no doubt, I love the layout of Granny Squares so I think I will make another soon.

Spring makings

Had to take this apart so as not to give teacher bad apples.
No better way to show appreciations for your child's teacher than a made just for them tote bag. Charm packs or cut your own 5 inch squares,   in  a 4x4 pattern. It took less that a couple hours. It was  a great way to end the year. Ha Ha Juju is in for it. She gets the same teacher for next year, as she is moving up to teaching 4th grade. Mrs. Friedel knows all her drama ahead of time.

Attempts at quilting a Death Star.
Star Wars themed quilt for my sister. I regret not buying more of these Camelot prints. They even had some that were glow in the dark. My first Chevron quilt.

A couple of these prints I found at Joann's and the rest are from Fat Quarter Shop.
